Away from the airport, away from the crowds. The North is synonymous with a bohemian, laid-back life style. The serene and beautiful beaches make this the place to find tranquility year round. Due to the peaceful surrounding it has built a reputation within the wellness and healing community, playing host to numerous retreats. 

As you drive North, San Joan is really the last village you will find. Here you are far less affected by conventional tourism and get a sense of what island life was like many years ago. On the face of it there is not a lot going on here – but those that choose to make it their home would not have it any other way. Nearby San Miquel has a similar vibe, and plays host to an artisan market on Saturdays, the perfect chance to stock up on a range of fine products produced on the island.
